I came up blank looking for info on this cutter, the Piccadilly, 107, and Best silver steel, Made in Germany marks brought up a few results, but no conclusive info on this specific razor.
The razor's tang is shaped and has a great thumb rest, with jimps top and bottom, this is normally an indication of a razor that is of higher quality, price or model. This razor weighs 38 grams, the blade height is 5/8 ths, or around 17 mm high, it has a cutting edge of 65 mm, with a round point. This half hollow razor in its original vintage condition has been made shave ready. The bevel on the razor is clean and even and it has no spine wear, we used one layer of tape on the spine when we sharpened it up. The razor has a spine thickness of 5 mm and presents a sharpened cutting angle of 17 degrees.
The cleaned up blade has a few marks left on the steel, and the etching on the blade is very faded, the scales and pinning is in good original condition with a little warping on the one side, regardless, the razor opens and closes with good posture without touching the scales and centers nicely at the wedge.
