This ratty has a Genco blade, which was made from US produced steel, generally a bit scarcer as the Sweden, Germany and England steel regions had massive output and fulfilled global demand for many decades, setting up one's own costly operations was a brave move, and the quality of the US made steel was on par to boot! It has a dark patina that looks good on the old blade. We fitted a set of African blackwood scales in a heartwood/sapwood flow that makes it quite unique in appearance. The razor shaved well and is ready to serve another 50 years or so. It is pinned with nickel and stainless through a Mpingo wedge.
The razor weighs 37 grams and has an 5/8 blade size, the bevel angle is around 15 degrees.
