This looks like a razor that was sold by Fletcher Hardware based in Detroit Michigan, the stamping on the blade is not all that clear, but we can make out that the blade is from german origin. This blade had a nasty chip in it (my doing from 6 years ago being hasty on a buff) and I eventually got round to removing that, squaring up the edge and sharpening it. The razor shaves great despite the shorter blade height, it now actually looks more proportionate to me considering the thin, light duty scales setup. The scales are a bit distorted from heat or age, but it is not all that noticable and hardly so from certain angles, they still function well, while the metal bolters add to this offering's appeal, the blade opens and closes as it should.

This razor weighs  grams and has a spine thickness of 4 mm, blade height of 15 mm, or around 1/2 that delivers a bevel angle of around 15 degrees. The bevel is pretty good and we honed it up with one layer of tape. From what we can tell the razor is in original vintage condition.

The razor is shave ready and strops comfortably on hanging leather or a paddle. A nice razor for the guy who likes more nimble razors at the cheaper end of the range.

*Vintage razors are priced according to model and availability, time spent cleaning and reconditioning and time/level of honing. Please enquire if you need additional work done to this razor prior to purchase. All straight razors will require a stropping on a leather strop before every use. Pics are unedited (detail) and provide a true image of the condition of the razor.
