Bowdins razors were distributed in the US by Bowdins Barber Supply in Minneapolis, but they were more than likely made in Sheffield or Soligen.
This is the 'Hand made wedge' model, and is one of the smallest wedges I have used, it also gives a closer shaves than most wedges I have tried, that being said this grind is not a true wedge, but rather a near wedge at best. It shaves really well and is quite silent on account of the grind. This is a nice little razors for guys looking for a smaller wedge that shaves better (closer) than most.
The blade is in very good nick and the shallow, even bevel stands testimone to the fact that this blade has seen little use in the past, there is lots and lots of use left on this steel. There are a few spots on the blade itself, and the scales are made from a light wood, all in all, quite a presentable, neat little razor.
The razor has 316L stainless steel, nickel and brass pinning, weighs 41 grams and has an 5/8 blade size. This chunky blade used one layer of tape to deliver a nice, even bevel when honing up.
