The Gillette Black Beauty is basically the slim razor with a longer, black handle, the head profile is slightly flatter than the Fatboy, and later versions had a plastic tray at the bottom, this one also has diamond knurling on it rather than the diagonal patterning on the length of the handle that the vast majority were made as. This is certainly one of the tallest adjustable razors out there, with a lot of stick to hang on to! This razor is in good nick with no plate loss, a few places on the handle has knuling with some 'flat spots'
The razor has 9 settings that clicks into position as you twist the dail below the head. The razor has a butterfly mechanism that opened when the knob at the bottom end of the razor is turned.
The Super Adjustable 109 PD (Plastic plate with Diamond knurling) was introduced in 1980, this model was in production until 1988 when Gillette stop manufacturing adjustable double edge razors.
The razor stands 111 mm high and weighs 58 grams.
